| A poor performance from the Drogs, but they never lost
their cool and professionalism and persistence saw them take all three points
from an unfortunate Bray side. The league leaders were having an off day;
although Eddie Gormley’s side conceded possession to them they were not good
enough to capitalise. The hosts nipped in for the opener with the break in sight,
and Dan Connor was called upon to make a spectacular save soon after The Drogs
struck early in the second period and won a succession of corners throughout but
rarely tested a stoic Bray rearguard. It was from one of those corners in added
time that United finally found a scuffed winner in the way that potential
champions do. |
