Match Notes
After a fairly even, if uneventful, opening half it was Derry who opened the scoring. Pat McCourt was in the mood, and his run set up Ciaran Martyn for a drive which Matt Gregg could have dealt with in a more convincing fashion. Ten minutes later Alan Mahon earned a red card; within four minutes the Candystripes were two up and pulling away. Later, a mazy McCourt run ended with the winger beating Gregg on his near post to seal the win.
