 A former Home Farm and Stella Maris schoolboy, he joined the Drogheda United U21 set-up and was soon handed a pro contract. The left-sided midfielder was loaned out to Dundalk for the 2007 campaign and was the club's joint top scorer in the 1st Division from his midfield berth, despite a lengthy injury absence.
